Now, let's talk about my neighbourhood. I'm located in Cook Street Village. It. Is. Beautiful. Starting in late February-early March, the cherry blossoms start to bloom. They not only make the neighbourhood look like something out of a storybook but also make it smell lovely. I'm one block away from the heart of the village, which is home to numerous shops, markets and restaurants. If you love organic, hormone-free meat, poultry and fish, swing by McLennan's Island Meat & Seafood for some of the highest quality butchery in the city. Just across the street is Mother Nature's Deli, providing an ample selection of organic, locally grown produce, along with a plethora of other natural health products. Kiddy corner from Mother Nature's is Big Wheel Burger, serving up gourmet burgers in classic fashion. As if that wasn't enough already, pop into The Beagle Pub for a pint of Guinness & a sports game. If pubs aren't your style, walk a few blocks farther and take in the gorgeous views on Dallas Road - I'm less than a 20-minute walk away from Clover Point!
