There is so much to do during the holiday season in and around Victoria. Here are my top 5 events, not to be missed!
Hosted at the Empress Hotel from now until January 7th. You can check out the trees anytime and donate to vote for your favourite tree. All proceeds support of the BC Children's Hospital
Hosted at the Laurel Poin Inn now until January 5th, 2014 from 9am-9pm daily. Check out some amazing ginger bread homes, all in support of Habitat for Humanity Victoria
This is one of my favourite time of year to visit Buchard Gardens because it's all decked out for the holidays. They even have a skating rink (click here for details) now until January 6th, 2014.! Fun for the whole family.
4. Christmas Light Tour
Every year the Times Colonist runs a contest for who has the best lit up homes in the city. They usually publish a tour map in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned. Grab a hot chocolate, pile in the car and drive around to see all the decked out homes. To see last year's tour and winners, click here.
This is a great event, and you won't have to travel far to enjoy it. Happening on December 7th starting at 5:45 and ending around 8:30, this parade of lit up trucks will be heading throughout the city. Be sure to check the website for route details. This is in support of the following:
