Saira Reynolds* (Waters)
Owner, Sales Representative
Saira runs The Modern Real Estate Team and is on a mission to offer the best real estate services to home buyers and sellers in Victoria’s Capital Region. Saira graduated from the Univerity of Victoria in 2008 with a B.Sc. in Economics and started her real estate career in 2009. She embraced the team model in 2014 as a better way to serve her growing client base.
Saira has a natural ability to connect with people, is a great listener and has a strong drive to achieve results. She’s known for her business acumen, love of spreadsheets and eagerness to help those around her. Saira is a Master Negotiation Expert, award winning REALTOR®, and loves helping others achieve their goals.
Born and raised in Victoria, Saira now resides in Oak Bay with her husband and two young children. When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking and spending time with family.
Laura started her real estate career in 2012 working at the Victoria Real Estate Board and has been with the team since its inception in 2014. Laura began as the team’s marketing and client care coordinator and has been vital to the team’s growth. Laura is now the Operations Manager and it’s her mission to ensure our clients receive the best possible service by making sure the team is well supported and that no detail is ever missed. Laura is known for her friendly can-do attitude, hard work ethic and keen attention to detail. She excels in customer service and is the glue that holds the team together!
Laura is in the office Monday-Friday between 8:30am-4:30pm and manages the general operations of the team, its members and transactions. Laura oversees incoming communication from our clients, industry professionals and will be here to help guide you through the home buying and selling process.
Laura was born and raised in Ottawa but made the move out west in 2011. She is a proud Navy wife and the mother of two young girls.
Lindsay first came to BC from her hometown of Toronto to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Vancouver’s Emily Carr University in 2008. After graduating, Lindsay fell in love with the island and made the jump to Victoria in 2013. Lindsay’s love for Victoria and passion for community led her to become a full-time licensed Realtor in 2016.
Since 2016, Lindsay’s empathetic, service-centred approach has enabled her to assist clients in navigating Victoria’s ever-changing real estate market. With a dedication to high level customer service and passion for negotiation, Lindsay is a steady and proactive advocate for her clients. Her dedication and passion have led Lindsay to become a successful and multiple award winning Realtor.
Lindsay lives in Gordon Head with her partner and two kids. Active in her community and passionate about Victoria, she loves spending time enjoying the south island and sharing its gifts with locals and newcomers alike.
Sonya has been a licensed sales representative since 2009 and embraced the team model in 2019 so she could spend more time focusing on what she loves: helping clients. Sonya is known for her caring, calm, and even keel nature, making her a great adviser to anyone buying and selling real estate. Over her career, she has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience which she is eager to share with her clients as they navigate our ever-changing real estate market. Sonya is a Certified Negotiation Expert and award-winning REALTOR®.
Originally from Ottawa, Sonya moved to the West Coast 25 years ago with her husband and raised her three (now adult) children here. In her spare time, she loves hiking and in 2019 she participated in Royal LePage’s charity challenge which took participants to the Sahara Dessert to hike 100km in support of women’s shelters.
Miles entered the real estate industry in 2020 with a calling to provide the highest level of service for his clients and he became an award-winning REALTOR® within his first year of business. Miles brings a wealth of knowledge and a diverse range of experience to the table and a relentless work ethic and a value-driven approach to every transaction.
Originally from Montreal, Miles has called Victoria home since his family relocated in 2001. He has a fierce love for Vancouver Island and its nature, lifestyle and people. A person of many passions, Miles thrives on community and embodies the belief that friendships and connections are what life is all about. His clients are like family and he goes above and beyond to help them achieve their goals.
Prior to his work in real estate, Miles farmed vineyards and crafted award-winning wine on the Saanich Peninsula. He continues to have a strong passion for sustainable agriculture and advocates support for local farms. His extensive knowledge of large and rural properties makes him the natural choice for anyone considering buying or selling acreage on Vancouver Island.
When not working with clients, you can find Miles spending time with his beautiful wife, two young children, and dog (Penny) in Cedar Hill.
Transaction Coordinator (Unlicensed)
Rovalyn joined the Modern Real Estate Team as our transaction coordinator in 2022 after her passion for real estate blossomed during the pandemic while working remotely. A reliable and efficient problem solver, Rova supports the team in transaction coordination and general administration, ensuring both our clients and team members are set up for success. Prior to joining the world of real estate, she was a sales executive at a car dealership and owned and managed a digital printing business for 7 years. Rova has a natural eye for detail, an undeniably strong work ethic and is the definition of a self-starter.
From the Philippines and a proud mom of two lovely teens, when she is not working, Rova enjoys spending time with her loved ones and creating with her passion for digital arts.
Marketing & Client Care Coordinator (Unlicensed)
Sophia is the latest addition to the Modern Team and joins us as our Marketing & Client Care Coordinator. She is an outgoing, Victoria local with a passion for real estate, interior design and customer satisfaction.
Spending the last 5 years in banking as a Financial Advisor, she appreciates how real estate compliments a wealth plan to achieve your goals. Excelling at relationship building, Sophia is able to dig deep and truly understand how to provide a solution to the needs of our clients. She has a hard work ethic, brings an energetic attitude, and is a big team player. Whether you are buying or selling real estate with our Team, Sophia will be here to help guide you through the process and execute marketing strategies and our client and community events.
Sophia currently resides in Vic West with her partner Rhys, and two golden retrievers, Costa and Rufus. In her free time, she enjoys golf, cooking for others, and adventuring all the west coast island has to offer.
